Announcing our new logo!

Today we’re launching a new logo, as we wanted it to match better with our brand name "Magic Author".  Earlier we got a couple of feedback from our readers that the current pencil' logo doesn't look that unique. And so we had plans to evolve it but kept postponing the same due to various reasons. Later we got in touch with Arul from "Bala Designs", Coimbatore to collaborate for this redesign work. It is worth mentioning that Arul who has about 20 years of experience in creating brand and design solutions, is also a book lover and an ardent follower of the veteran Tamil novelist Balakumaran (late) such that he named his company, his house and even his daughter after him. After some brainstorming and a couple of to-and-fro emails with such a passionate designer, here is the outcome. Our new logo reflects a more modern outlook showcasing the two important possessions of an author - a pen and a book. A closer view also reveals the letter 'M' which stan...

How to eradicate fear?

What is Fear? Fear is a spontaneous response caused by a known or unknown threat that leads to a change in brain and organ function. It also transforms our behaviour. Fear can force us to suppress, to run away, or to a massive jump. It may derive from a dispute or from warding off a menace, or it may occur in the form of discovery. Fear brings a negative impact on our life. Although there were a lot of instances, that fear produces a significant result too. We should develop our qualities that fear brings to no adverse effect in our body or mind. What is the effect of fear? Fear destroys our physical and mental health. It prohibits to excel in life. Truly it is a vicious giant that badly affects people. It reduces our immune process and can lead to cardiovascular impairment, gastrointestinal complications such as ulcers and irritable bowel disorder, reduced fertility, speed up ageing, and even premature death. Fear can reduce the formation of long-term memories and create harm to...

MAYA - The stories retold through our Sanskrit Puranas

What is MAYA? The dictionary meaning, as everyone knows is illusion. But the Sanskrit word Maya is having more deeper meaning. It can be better explained with a journey with the thought of Maya read in conjunction of Newton's laws in physics, theory of relativity, etc. which would have already been taught in school/college levels. Let us just have an explanation: Imagine a person standing on the railway platform, whereby a train passes without stopping. It will seem to him that the length of the train is getting lesser with the increase in speed of the train, or more clearly the length of the train will seem to be inversely proportional to the speed of the train. It can be more easily understood, with a thought that, if the person is also travelling in the opposite direction. If the individual is travelling by another train in the opposite direction, then the total length will seem to be well reduced with the relative speed. And if the relative speed is more than that of light, ...
