The most successful money launderers in history

It is difficult for anyone to build a useful criminal shelter these days without a way to hide their salaries. When you start collecting hundreds, thousands, and even millions of dollars without a good explanation, the government begins to express its concern. It is this problem that leads to the birth of money laundering.

Misuse of money is a way for people to hide more money. People take the money acquired through a criminal activity like drug selling and filter it through elaborate plans to make it look legally earned. Fraud- can be done in many different ways, but the people listed below had to acquire the skills to establish themselves as some of the most successful marketers in history. Well, succeed until they are truly caught.

Al Capone

This notorious American criminal built a criminal empire for himself and was earning; hundreds of millions of dollars before his trial in 1931.

Capone felt he had to use a widespread business approach to- successfully hide his money without speculation. He started with the Laundromats as they were a taxi business, which- made it easy to cover the dirty money flowing through their midst.

Ferdinand Marcos

Ferdinand was a lawyer before he became president of the Philippines in 1965. After consolidating his role as president, he remained there for more than 20 years.

This is surprising because he hid billions of dollars from public funds in the country he ruled. Using intelligence and relationships, Marcos devised a clever plan to hide his dirty money. He transferred the money to foreign banks in the United States and Switzerland for safekeeping and making it difficult to track people in his country.

The Island of Nauru

We chose to write this as a site rather than a real person. This is because the island has become a popular destination for people looking to make money around-the-world. The small island is about 220 miles off the coast of New Guinea and has a special system called Shell Banks. The banks are not physically present (they work mostly through paperwork) and do not require bank users to disclose their identities. Since its inception, it has been estimated that banks have raised more than $ 71 billion in loans made from groups such as Russian corporations.

Mexican Drug Cartel

Cartel is one of the most successful and feared criminal organizations still operating today without any signs of decline. It is unclear how they spend all their money, but experts have downplayed the few ways they seem to spend most of their time.

They carry large amounts of money to the South of the United States first. Then they spend the money to buy something to send to Mexico. The complex marketing system has made it increasingly difficult for authorities to track billions of dollars in drugs.

Pablo Escobar

Through his long and successful career as a criminal, Escobar's name has become synonymous with laundry. His large drug card became an incomprehensible size and at one time controlled much of the world's code distribution.

To justify his actions and the amount of money that- has been illegally obtained, Pablo used the money himself. Through a massive bribery scheme, he made friends in high places. He hired experts to help him get out and met bankers who helped him get billions of dollars to lose weight with unsuspecting officials.
